Core Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Entry level tax work (tax return preparation, tax research and related duties consistent with experience) relative to various entity types, including C corporations, S corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, trusts and estates as well as individuals
  • Computational work, creating spreadsheets that will require sorting, organizing and manipulation of data according to project specifications
  • Data entry of financial information into various platforms
  • Ability to merge, purge, reconcile, and archive data segments
  • Ability to prepare and execute reports via the database and perform data analysis
  • Generating reports, documents and PowerPoint presentations as needed
  • Respond to client and/or team requests promptly and professionally; readily offering assistance;
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative working environment
  • Proactively seeking instruction, feedback and coaching to improve performance
  • Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate must:

  • Have solid knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data manipulation in Excel
  • Have general aptitude for computer software applications and equipment..
  • Can learn quickly and adapt to different working styles.
  • Be resourceful and can handle deadline pressure.
  • Be a team player.

Minimum requirements:

  • Strong undergraduate GPA 3.2 minimum overall or in accounting/tax-related courses.
  • BA or AS degree with emphasis in accounting or business related field preferred; masters in taxation is desirable but not required.
  • Ability to take CPA exam at present or within the upcoming year is a plus.
  • 2+ years related experience in a financial industry a plus.
  • Strong time management skills required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer literate and comfortable in the MS Windows environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Previous experience or internships in a public accounting firm performing audit or tax work is a plus.
